so frustrated!
updated to new Fitbit app on Monday. Have the Versa 3.
I went a big walk (7.5miles) which I tracked via GPS. Initially the app showed me the map of my walk, how many active minutes I had and steps etc. However it has completely disappeared now? Skips straight from Sunday’s exercise to todays. Says I got no active minutes yesterday. No hourly step count achieved (even though I was active for all 9 hours)… It still tells me my steps (over 25k) and calories burned and miles walked but the exercise and map is gone. It also looks like I never slept on Sunday night - just has not tracked my sleep at all. This is only since I updated to new app. I am so annoyed. I use my Fitbit EVERY DAY. I track every walk, every sleep. Quite obsessed actually. It seems to have tracked todays okay so far (though expecting it to disappear too as it disappeared later in the day yesterday). I have an iPhone and the only reason I haven’t got an I watch is because I don’t want to lose my lifetime steps on Fitbit (I walk a lot!) but if it’s going to play up like this I am getting rid. Anyone else had this issue? I contacted support twice, but they didn’t understand what I was saying and kept asking if it wasn’t tracking steps. It IS tracking the steps but the exercise log (and map of my walk) has disappeared and not tracking sleep. They told me to restart the device, which I did, and put phone off and back on, which I did but nope yesterdays logs are all to pot and stuff missing.
Anyone got any ideas?
it’s only a year old. Not the Fitbit itself that’s the issue - definitely the app update that’s caused this.
many thanks! 😀

My sleep tracking hasn’t worked correctly since the last update. I am not a fan of the new updated version.

Wow. They moved live tracking options to another screen on the latest update. WHY??? Going to Exercises like before and selecting to add an exercise, all you get are the manual entry options. Discovered that you now need to be on the Fitbit home page and select to add. Then you get a "Track live" popup where you can select hikes/walks with the map functions much like before. I also see it has a "Start sleep" option as well, though I haven't used that option in the past, but it is there (I let the Fitbit app determine when I'm asleep/awake).

I just googled this same issue and found your post. Yes! I just updated to the new app this weekend and since then it no longer automatically tracks my sleep or exercise. It tracks the steps but that’s it pretty much. I have a versa as well. Have you found a solution?
