Exercise duration not accurate

When I select run as my exercise, then stop and end the run after I have finished, the duration of the run is different to what is stored in the app  home page. Today my run was 31min 52 seconds duration when I stopped my run, however it was 27 min 5 seconds on the app. This happens all the time and the app never matches the actual run time.
