Extremely Frustrated with my FitBit!

This is the second FitBit device I've had in less than two weeks. When I first purchased these devices, during the initial setup, both devices went through the updated seamlessly-in less that two minutes. After factory data resetting my devices through the settings app of my FitBit, the new setup process, specifically the update, takes over two hours to complete. The last device I had, got to about 1/3 of the screen, and then showed a red X. Eventually, customer support offered to replace the device, but it's too much of a hassle to jump through so many hoops, just to get a replacement. I decided to just take my device back to the store I purchased it from, and they were willing to exchange it. Now, I'm back in the same boat!! Going through the forums, I see this is a common issue. I don't know if it has something to do with factory data resetting the device that makes it wonky, or what. This is ridiculous. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forums!

 

Why do you keep factory resetting it? If you have problems a restart will solve most problems.

I have never seen any reason to factory reset it.
