Facebook messenger and text message notification

Does anyone know if the Versa will give notifications from Facebook messenger AND regular text messages? I’m currently using the flex2 and it lets me chose one or the other. Thanks.

Hi @Jayelo Yes, you will be able to receive the same and more notification on the Versa. Page 28 of the Versa manual has more details.

@Madmoizelle Have you opened up the versa notifications? In there you click on all the apps you want to receive notifications from. Messenger is one of them. Now I can get notifications from both text and fb messenger.

Thank you! Yes, I have. Resetting my phone and watch helped. I am not
receiving Facebook notifications though.

And my sleep tracker is really way off kilter. I will see how it does
tonight with the sleep tracker since I have reset everything.

I have an iPhone 7. So what I did was first restart my phone which didn’t help at all. Then I went into my notifications setting for my phone and looked up messenger. I turned off all notifications then turned it on again and made sure everything was turned on for it. I previously had show in history off. Once I turned it on I locked my phone until I got a message through fb messenger. When I went to my Fitbit app to check the versa notifications fb messenger was there to turn on. Hopefully this works for everyone else having problems!

I've got Facebook messenger notifications all ON....when I look at notifications on my versa it only gives me 2 options:  DURING SLEEP AND DURING EXERCISE?? where do I turn on messenger ??  I've uninstalled, installed again...restarted my phone...what else can I do?

Did you ever figure this out?  I'm using an LG V20 and it wont let me get messages from text AND messenger...it's either or

If you open “notifications”through the versa on the Fitbit app there should be a list of all the apps you want to receive notifications from. Fb messenger is one of them and text is already a default. Hope that helps.

Yes I saw that and have it set exactly like that but still no messenger messages on my Versa

Hmm...I’m not sure then. Sorry. Maybe check the list to see if your phone is compatible to the Versa?

I never have gotten messenger notifications even though I have it enabled. Text notifications aren't working properly either.

Are you using the message+ app for texts?

I don’t have a versa yet but trying to figure out if I want one. I have read replying to text messages is not an option for iPhone however will it work through Facebook messenger or any other messenger apps regardless of the phone you have ? Thanks

Hi, in case this is still a thing.....(iphone) go to notifications, messenger and make sure that Notification centre and Banners are ticked (same for whatsapp). Lock phone and ask someone to message you, open the message then go into the relevant notifications section on the Fitbit App and messenger/Whatsapp will be available to check......Happy receiving.....
