After less than 1.5 years, my fitbit screen went blank. However, it was at least still tracking steps via the app. After a call to your support team, now it won't even do that because they had me reset it and it won't re-pair with my phone. You also refuse to replace my fitbit. So now, I'm stuck with a completely useless watch - rendered even more useless after a call to the Fitbit support team. I'm also expected to drop another $100+ on a new watch that will probably only last me another 12-18 months. I'm very dissatisfied. My last fitbit did this too. Really starting to think you make cheap products and sell them for an exorbitant amount of money to the public. Typical.

Ugh I’m afraid that’s what will happen if I call them. My partners Ionic did that- complete black. No light on the back indicating it’s on, was charged at the time. Won’t charge, reset or anything. I got it for him for Valentine’s Day last year so warranty is over. Now my Versa is acting up, the screen looks like it’s going out- it’s all bright on one edge and barely holds a charge for maybe a day and a half. I got it at the Versa launch- April of ‘18 maybe? So out of warranty too. Such a waste of money!!

At least you had your item for 1.5 years. My product crapped out less than a year after purchase and now the replaced devise crapped out less than a year after that. So basically I should have purchase an Apple Watch. Do better Fitbit and a discounted coupon is a slap in the face. A complete waste of money.

So true. I have had three fitbits and none of them have lasted a year. I had one replaced on warranty and that one only lasted 6 months and therefore was not on warranty when it stopped working.

After having my Versa for a little over a year, the face popped off. The first one didn't last a month before it stopped working completely and FitBit replaced it. I didn't want to go back with another Fitbit because they don't last over a year and they refuse to replace even though this is a known defect. If outside of the warranty, they offer you a 25% coupon to purchase another watch. Today I purchased a Garmin Vivoactive 3, the 4 was expensive and I wasn't sure I would like it since the look is way different from FitBit. I plan to give it a try and hopefully it will grow on me. I am so upset with Fitbit. I really loved that watch, but refuse to spend that much money on a product that will not last. Fitbit should have a repair option then maybe one day I will return as a customer. The Garmin has pretty much the same features as FitBit and can use the GPS without having to take your phone which is why I decided to buy it. I am going to miss my FitBit.

@Tennis1955 Can you explain that? You don't lose anything adding a new device to your existing account. It's all on the Fitbit server.

@Denisdog1 I've had a Blaze and three different Versa's on my account. Steps, calories, etc all show going back to March 2016 when I joined. Nothing has disappeared that I'm aware of.

I have been a Fitbit user for seven years, but I am discouraged after the deeply flawed September update to my Versa 2. I actually bought a Garmin watch, but I think it is just not for me. I am a woman over 70 with arthritic hands. Didn't realize that Garmin does not have a touch screen. I may return the Garmin and try Apple. I am interested in Denisdog1's experience with Apple. Thanks.

Mine is less than a year and tracks intermittently. And gives the most insane numbers.
my 3 was awesome. Screen cracked on mine and my husbands after 2 years. Like an age fracture. Cheap plastic for sure.
going back to Garmin.
