I purchased 2 Fitbit Versa’s for my kids for Christmas. We set them up, and have been using them for a day. So far I am very disappointed with the devices. I did a lot of research on the device before I purchased, but I guess not enough. I still didn’t realize though, through all the looking on the internet that I would have to set up accounts and use an app to perform basic watch functions like set an alarm. This is silly. I also didn’t realize the level of tracking Fitbit does. I don’t need a device that I spent my money on tracking and selling my information for their gain. I would expect this if the device was free. I get that some people are ok with that, I’m not. I have tried to to make the settings as private as possible for my kids (yes, over 13, but they are still kids...and even if it it was mine I wouldn’t want tracking or sharing my information with a community). I wanted an activity tracker and basic watch functions. I am currently thinking I should have just bought ironman watches for them.

I’ve moved your post to the Versa forum, @Leakerteaker . FYI - once you set the Versa up on an account, you can perform most functions (Set alarms, timers, brightness and more) right from the Versa.)
