Don't download it!
My Versa connected with my iphone just fine, prior.
Now it refuses to stay connected so my fitbit is useless for what I got it for, tracking my bike ride!
Is this the case of some **ahem** releasing a buggy version?
Or is fitbit playing the microsoft game of trying to force people to the next version?
Fitbit needs to release a new version that puts us back to the previous one!

Hi @genepilot, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa is not connecting with your phone properly. I totally understand how you feel about this.
Please try the troubleshooting steps that are listed in this help article. After this, monitor your watch and see if it connects with your phone properly.
Keep me posted on the outcome.

After the update my Versa doesn't track my runs, even though the phone has great GPS signal and the Fitbit app is running. I have to keep trying to sync the phone to the watch and it fails if the GSM coverage is weak (it should just be using BT, anyway).
I wish Fitbit would stop shoving political messages down our throats and focus on its core business. I can't wait for the new Apple Watch to dump Fitbit.

Same happened to mine. Useless. Not buying nor recommending Fitbit. Only used it for a year.

Absolutely. When something is working well and an update offerers no tangible benefits then why the rush to update?
The old adage - If it aint broke don't try to fix it - is applicable here.
