Hello,
I am having some problems with the distance which my Versa is recording on runs. I always run the same route, and have done for years, which is 10.2km. Until recently FitBit Versa was correctly recording the run. Recently it has gone "off" and is now saying the same route is 8.5km. I know this is incorrect. I tried starting the app on my phone and also the watch to see if different and both said 8.5km. the number of strides in my run and calories etc are the same as always but the distance is out by about 20%. Anyone any ideas about this issue please? Thanks! Ewan

Hello @ewanangus, welcome to the Community forums. Sorry for the late response.
Thank you for sharing this information about the trouble you've been having with the distance.
Remember that your Versa uses connected GPS to track distance and routes, devices with connected GPS use the sensors on your nearby phone to capture GPS data. Keep your phone close to your device during an activity.
If the GPS is getting disconnected during your running activity, the Versa may track different information for the the distance. Before considering other options, make sure to follow the steps suggested in this article: Why isn't GPS working on my Fitbit device?
All devices with GPS sensors require a direct path to GPS satellites to calculate location. A weak GPS signal might affect the accuracy of your route and other activity data. Your device uses your step count to calculate distance until it finds a signal, so the total distance calculated for a workout may be slightly less accurate when GPS isn't available for the entire time.
If you continue to see the same behavior and your GPS is not getting disconnected, make sure to try following the steps listed in this article to complete a restart and check if you still see the same behavior afterwards: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
Keep me posted on the outcome.
