FitBit App recording 2 different distances on GPS

I go out running with my phone so that I can get the correct GPS reading. I get the voice cues along the way. My most recent run,  I got to 4.75 miles. It logged this. When I returned to it shortly after, the distance had changed to 3.96 miles.

This has happened a good few times now and I don't know what is causing the discrepancy. I keep my fitbit updated along with the app.

Can anyone help please?

@HarriFit This happens because Fitbit uses both connected GPS and pedometer readings (steps) to calculate your distance. That's why upon syncing with the servers and performing calculations in the cloud, the distance gets corrected. You can try to correct that by ensuring that you have set a proper stride length. One more thing, especially in cases of weaker GPS signal, fitbit will fall back to pedometry.
