FitBit Customer Service UGGH & Versa Lite

Had original FitBit Versa Lite for ~11mo before software died and it wouldn't turn on, got a replacement (5/25/2021) and it was working fine until I went for a swim (7/10/2021) less than two months later. As soon as I started swimming (battery was at 60%) the screen turned off, thought maybe the battery died, let it dry completely, went to charge it - no response at all.

It was completely dead, tried to troubleshoot and clean contact points, but now that it's over the 12mo mark I'm out of warranty and there's nothing they will do except offer me a 30% off coupon. The whole reason I liked the Versa Lite was BC it was simple and WATERPROOF (which it is not) since my FitBit Aria broke when I was washing my hands.

Call FitBit to speak to a Supervisor after explaining I'm finding message boards where plenty of people swam with the Versa Lite for the first time and it broke, saying that the seal is faulty and water gets inside, and they're saying nothing I can do. Buy another one and it'll be in warranty again for a year. SMH FitBit!!! Thinking of switching to Apple watches as long as they're actually waterproof.

The customer service I spoke with chat and they told me to wait on an email, it was the coupon. Asked to speak to supervisor, got hung up on, called back waited on hold again yesterday (07/19/2021) the agent told me his supervisor would call me back before the end of the night. Waited by my phone, no call. Called in this morning and they're like some people can swim with it, good for them, but I wasn't able to. The replacement is only meant to last a month and a half seriously?! How can they market these things as waterproof, when all of them are not that way? Tried to escalate to a manager, they're based in Central America, no Customer support in the US so the managers don't take calls.

In a call center, that's not standard, as I worked for one for many years.

No way to complain or share my experience except this forum, then when I try to post and warn others on relevant posts about (<1 year they'll send you a new one, >1 year you're out of luck and they expect you to buy another) my posts got deleted and flagged by the moderator for cross posting, even though nothing was copied and pasted, I only replied with my experience/opinion relevant to that post.

This is how FitBit treats you. I'm very surprised and appalled by all of this, I thought it was a good company up until this point. SMH FitBit, you disgust me.
