FitBit Versa 2 Logo Flashing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit versa 2 was working fine yesterday and I woke up this morning to the screen flashing the Fitbit logo on and off. I have tried to reset by holding the button etc and this hasn’t worked, the Fitbit won’t sync to my phone and just won’t work in general.

Mine is doing the exact same. Thought it was because the battery was dead but it's still doing it while it's on the charger. Tried resetting it and it doesn't work...

Mine suddenly started this same thing this afternoon. So weird that it looks like it’s happened to several people today.

Strange that it’s happening to a lot of people at the same time, mine still isn’t working

Hopefully a glitch that Fitbit can solve if it’s happening to a lot of people!

Mine has completely disconnected and now won't connect to Bluetooth...

Mine won’t connect either, just flashing the logo on and off. I have tweeted Fitbit support to see if they can suggest anything.

So this morning I am able to see my clock face but the touch screen will not change. It will sync with my app and appears to be tracking everything but the screen will not change from the clock face. 🤷🏼‍:female_sign:

That happened briefly with mine last night and I tried to take advantage of it being "on" and somewhat connected  and tried  restart and it went back to the blinking... its no longer even showing up on my app... its totally disconnected and still blinking.

I was going to try to call fitbit tonight after work. If anyone gets to do that before me let us know what they say.

They told me to try manually factory resetting where you hold the button for 8 seconds then release for 2 and hold again until a long vibration.. however this hasn’t worked and it’s still just blinking the logo. Waiting for them to get back to me with another solution.

Same here.  I have had the watch for a couple of years (I think), so out of warranty.  Fitbit did give me the 35% discount on another device, so I guess I will stick around as I have been using their products for quite a while and don't want to switch to another platform.  So Sense, here I come!

So they didn't provide any solution? Did you call or email?

They offered me 50% off a new device or a complimentary replacement so I’ve ordered the replacement

I did the online chat.  Described the issue in detail (logo on for a second, screen black, after a few seconds the logo comes back up, repeat).  I told them that I could charge the device and that holding the button for 10 secs (or even longer) did nothing.  The response was that they would forward the issue to the warranty team (I am guessing this is pretty widespread).  In under an hour, I had an email from the warranty team that the device was out of warranty, but please take this code for 35% off a new watch (some limitations, no Luxe, no Ace).  So no true solution.  My wife and father have the same Versa 2, but much newer and with no issue.  I don't know if that correlates to anything, but an observation.

Just had the same experience with online chat. They had me try all different things. None worked of course. Basically waiting on my email so I can go after work and get a new watch. I work in Healthcare and it's been a pain today having to pull out my phone to check the time all day

So the replacement I purchased, a Sense, showed up today and the screen would not work... So getting that replaced.  But just for giggles, I recharged my Versa 2 which had been unpowered for the last few days and was removed from my Fitbit account when I tried to connect the Sense.  It now magically works again.  So if you are having this issue, maybe remove the device from your Fitbit account, let the battery drain, hook it back up, let it update, and voila?  When the replacement's replacement shows up next Monday and assuming it works, the Versa 2 will be handed down to the teen.
