I received a replacement Versa not long ago because my last one overheated and stopped working. Note: My last Versa (the original) had the Spotify app on it, which I used.
Fast forward to my replacement Versa and the Spotify app won't download - install is greyed out and says to make sure I have the latest version for my FitBit.
My version states it's 32.12.19, which seems really out of date - but there are no updates showing available for my FitBit.
I emailed support with this concern and have been told that the issue with Spotify is a known issue and the only way to try to fix it is to do this:
"However, seeing that you are trying to download the app and it is not giving you the option to download what you can do is to try using a different mobile device to download this app."
So I have to go find some other random mobile device to try to connect my Fitbit to in order to try to download the app? I don't think so.
Boy Fitbit, you're making Apple Watch really appealing.

I would give things a day or two.
It seems the way firmware updates work these days is that they download a portion of the update each time you sync. When the download is complete you get a prompt in the app to install the update. Fitbit say this normally takes up to 48 hours after a setup but it depends on how often you sync.
The Spotify app needs the latest software so hopefully things will sort themselves out soon.

Thanks Steve. I find it odd though that my previous Versa DID have Spotify and this one can't install it for some reason.
More to the point, Versa is now on Version 32.71.6.19 but my Versa is on 32.12.19 - seems very out of date if you ask me.
