FitBit doesn't register while using a walker

Friends, my Versa Lite doesn't seem to register when I use a walker and a elliptical that has stationary handles.

Is there a setting to adjust for the limited movement of those scenarios?

Hi @Xtibtifx Unfortunately if you are not moving your arms and your hands are support a good proportion of your body weight, then there is no way for a watch on the wrist to register steps. The only way to get it to register them is to put the Versa in your pocket so it can then 'feel' the vibrations of your steps. You wont get heart rate recordex of course.  Some people wear them on their ankles and say the step count is good and they also report getting a heart rate reading, but I cant verify that.

I guess that FitBit just isn't for me. I never would have paid $150 for one
but at $10 this Versa Lite was worth trying. Actually the Elyptical that I
use tracks my usage and heart rate if I get the app and join.
