FitBit says I've eaten more calories than I have logged in MyFitnessPal

I've had my FitBit linked to MyFitnessPal since I got it in April and I haven't had any problems until yesterday.

Yesterday I preemptively logged all my food but then made some changes. When I edited the MFP food diary to reflect the changes, my FitBit never updated and just added more calories onto what I had initially planned on eating. I ended the day with FitBit saying I'd eaten 2560 calories when I only ate (and logged) 1633.

Now it's 10 am and I've only got 827 calories logged in MyFitnessPal (breakfast and what I'll be eating for lunch today) but FitBit says I've eaten 1426 calories.

I have no idea why it's adding mystery calories. I've restarted both apps, my phone, unconnected and reconnected FitBit to MFP and nothing has fixed it. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I uninstalled and re-installed FitBit but it still didn't work. But I realized I could go to the online dashboard and when I clicked on my food log it said I had like three iterations of my lunch saved. I just manually deleted those and now it seems to be registering additions and subtractions on MFP just fine so I guess it's fixed!

Thank you for your help, everyone!

Hi, try to deinstall and reinstall the Fitbit app and after reinstalling reboot your phone. Hope this solves your problem.

@Gilhooley Two-way street. I would ping MFP as well as the data is synced from them.
