I think I'm having similar issues to others, but haven't seen any solutions yet.
I walk on a treadmill at the moment (3x per day) and have been wearing a chest strap pulse monitor, which is incredibly accurate. I just bought my first quasi-smart watch, the Versa 3 last week. I've noticed that when I start a rigorous walk, the chest monitor raises almost immediately, but the Versa stays at my resting pulse rate for 10 or 15 minutes. I've tried on different areas of my wrist, loose, tight, or in between, and it doesn't change. I keep the back of the watch clean, so that shouldn't be an issue. It worked great for the first couple of days, but has been downhill since.
