Fitbit App draining battery on iPhone?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The last couple of days, my iPhone 7plus battery has been draining very quickly.  I have an appointment with Apple, but I also looked at the battery usage app.  Aside from CNN, the Fitbit App is using the most battery on my phone, at 12%.  But that breaks down to 19 minutes screen and 37 minutes background!  What's going on!  I have all day sync turned off and most of the push notifications and emails as well.  37 minutes?  What is the app doing in the background for 37 minutes?

Anyone else having this problem?

Basic (disintegrated), Ultra, One, Surge (returned), Flex, Charge, Alta, Charge 2, iPhone 7 Plus, Macbook Pro, iPad Pro.

No, I'm not experiencing this problem... The app has spent 17 minutes on screen and 1.2 hours in the background..draining only 3%... Are you running iOS 11.4?

Edit: For better help, there's also a Fitbit app iOS forum.

I’m just installing it now.

I’ll see if it makes a difference.

On the Android side the Fitbit app was causing excessive data network use and battery draining problems. Fitbit released an update Fitbit app today, I presume for Android only. Check out the threads in this forum for more details. Maybe the iOS Fitbit app has a similar bug?

There's an iOS battery drain bug in 11.4 (and maybe 11.4.1 too?), causes as of yet unknown, maybe it's that. I find the battery usage app fairly unreliable, and it mostly shows completely useless information even when it's accurate. Your fitbit battery usage looks normal either way.

I was wondering if you had installed iOS 11.4 ... not trying to get you to install it because of said battery issues.
