Fitbit Connect app for Mac not working

Hello,

 

I'm trying to add music from itunes on a Mac to my Versa. I'm aware I need the Fitbit Connect desktop app, but the link the Fitbit app and website tell me to use, http://fitbit.com/setup is not working. Anyone know where I can get this software or another way to add music?

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post. The only way to download music to your Versa is with the Fitbit Connect app, that said, can you please share more details about the issue you're experiencing at the moment you try to download it from fitbit.com/setup? Do you receive an error message when you try to download the software or it simply doesn't work? In the meantime I receive your answers, please try with the following link and let me know if the issue persists: https://www.fitbit.com/setup?platform=mac

So I get a 404 page error "Sorry, that page is following a different trail. Since it’s unavailable, step over to one of these instead:"

I also get the same when I visit the url you suggeted (https://www.fitbit.com/setup?platform=mac)

It changes to this link https://www.fitbit.com/global/uk/404

I am having a similar problem -- when I try logging on through fitbit connect, I get the message 'an error occurred, please try again.'

I have chatted with THREE support people all day -- no one is helping.

Apple watch is looking better and better.........

I have the same issue, trying to log onto the fitbit connect on my mac computer, and I only get the error message. I KNOW my info is correct, I can log onto the app on my phone just fine, Ive tried everything that fitbit has listed on their site, now Im at a loss of what to do. It just DOESNT work.

Exactly. I told three different tech people that this is a log in problem and none of them


addrrssed it. They all just did the basic uninstall then reinstall steps. Very poor service, unfortunately.

So you both have the desktop app already, but are having issues with it?

 

I’ve not even managed to download it yet. Please may I ask, can you see anything on the setup page link above?

I can get the app, but get stuck on next screen where I am meant to sign in.

Yes I had the same thing with their customer reps. It is truly a poor performance on the part of fitbit and dare might I say negligence in attending to a problem on their very own platform. I would encourage everyone to post these issues to various social media platforms alerting other customers and potential customers of this problem. This is unacceptable. Lenny

It is nuts really frustrating. Shame on Fitbit but we cannot let this go by . I work hard just like everyone here does and it is not alright with me that fitbit drops the ball when it comes to having a Mac app so we can transfer our personal music to our devices. Lenny

Yes. And the techs pretend the issue is at my end, when clearly they have a serious glitch. As I said, apple watch is getting more and more my future.
