Hey,
I recently purchased a few Fitbit smartwatches (Versa) and was super excited about the Fitbit pay option only to find that there are almost no Canadian cards/banks supported on the app. I'm not too sure why this is the case considering the same cards (eg. Capital one MasterCard, American Express, ...) are all accepted in America. I looked through the community posts and it seems that this is an issue that Canadian users have been bringing up since 2017 without any changes to the app. I'm really not sure if it's worth holding onto the watches, or whether o should just returning them. Does Fitbit have a plan to roll out new Canadian banks on the app soon (what's the timeline?) and if so, what are they?

Hello @SunsetRunner and welcome to the Help forums. It is my understanding that individual banks decide whether to not to participate in Fitbit Pay. My "bank" is actually the US's largest credit union, yet it doesn't participate. I contacted them and asked. They basically said that have no interest in participating in Fitbit Pay.
Nag you bank.

dont bother with fitbit pay in canada. banks don't care at all about it. if you want a smartwatch to do contact-less pay, get a android wear or apple watch.
