Fitbit Pay shows as "Preparing" on the app.

Hi there. I’ve veen using Fitbit Pay for months now and it’s one of the best features. Unfortunately today, Fitbit Pay on the Watch didn’t load and when I got into the Versa’s Wallet interface and it keeps saying “Preparing”

 

as per a previous advice, I deleted the Fitbit app, reinstalled and accessed that interface and it still says Preparing. 

 

Just wondering if the service is down now.

I appreciate you have brought this to my attention and for letting me know the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far in hopes to resolve this issue. At this moment I would like to gather some information from you so I can check this further:

 

  1. Which phone model are you currently using?
  2. What OS version is running on your phone.
  3. Which Fitbit app version is currently installed in your phone? (go to Account > Help to get it)

Hi Marco,

 

I got in touch with the Fitbit Facebook messenger folk and was advised to restart my Versa:

This helped! Apparently something went a little wrong with the Versa itself but upon a shutdown and a restart, it started working as it should. 

 

I have:

- iPhone 8

- iOS 11.4

- Fitbit 2.52 (765)

 

this is now solved 🙂 knowing that the Versa has a restart ability makes troubleshooting a lot better.
