Fitbit Versa 2 - Ongoing issues

I have a Fitbit Versa 2. (I've had it no longer than 2 months)

The following issues have been constant over the last couple of weeks:

  • Versa 2 randomly vibrates - the vibration is not the same as for a call or notification.  When I check the tracker, there are no notifications but I have noticed that each time this happens, the tracker has stopped recording heart rate.  All other stats are on the screen, but heart rate shows nothing. The random vibrating wakes me during the night, sometimes several times.
  • Freezing - screen freezes; cannot swipe in any direction.  Pressing the button to turn the screen on and off doesn't help.  Only way to fix the freezing is to hold the button in for 10+ seconds to shut down and restart the tracker.  The tracker eventually freezes again every 2-3 days.
  • Heart rate tracking is not always working - there are no obvious gaps in the graph showing in the Fitbit app, but the Versa 2 doesn't show this on the screen.  Heart rate tracking is definitely turned on correctly.
  • I have reset the Versa 2 to factory settings twice, updating it each time and setting it up without changing any settings.
  • 'Always sync' is set to ON.  I have also allowed the Fitbit app to run in the background on my Samsung Galaxy S9. There doesn't appear to be any connectivity problems between the Versa 2 and my phone.

Help! Is there anything else I can do?

(Note I've tried restarting, factory reset, turning bluetooth on and off, deleting the wifi network and re-adding it etc.)

Thank you, tried your suggestion.

Unfortunately it hasn't made any improvement and in fact today the Versa 2 is worse, won't sync without several tries and watch has crashed and frozen. Won't respond at all.

I shouldn't have to go through this drama every day, so I'm going to return it for either a replacement or go for a Samsung watch.

I'm having the same issues.  The blooming thing vibrates all day and there's no notification.  It depletes the battery much faster, and pushing the button on the device doesn't provide me the screen display.  I'm restarted the device numerous times.  I'm so sick of this.  I must have a reliable device to show my results to my dr.  I'm tired of these subpar devices.  They work a year or so, and then die.  This one is less than a year old!  Maybe I'll just get an apple watch next time.  But, if I can't quickly and easily get my device up and running when there are issues, you can forget it....and I'm tech savvy.  I can't imagine someone not tech savvy having to deal with this insanity.

Having the same issues, think I’m going to return, screen freezes, only shows heartbeat, battery needs charged every day, so frustrating!

I thought the vibrations were phantom and that I was nuts. Happy to hear it’s not all in my head.

I’m also experiencing issues after the firmware update early February. My heart rate spikes to extremely high bpm in the middle of the night. I’m almost positive this is a glitch.

i just started having issues about a month ago.  the screen freezes. the touch screen doesn't want to work,  i can't scroll up or down or snooze my alarm in the morning because the screen is black.  I'm constantly having to reset this fitbit.  I am really frustrated.
