Fitbit Versa 2 black screen

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Mt fitbit Versa 2 went black two days ago. Its still able to sync, track steps but the hard factory reset and normal reset buttons were not working or allowing device to reboot.  Also tried going into fitbit app to change the face of it, install the new firmware and still no luck at fixing

Can someone from fitbit tell me what I need to do to get a replacement ? I'm not going to create a Twitter account just to send a direct message. My email is rfoshay@gmail.com

Fitbit was not under water, not banged on. The device was purchased February 23, 2019..little over a year old from Best Buy. My ex got it for me though so, a little tough to ask him got a receipt.

Thank you

Hi @Rfoshay24, due to the recent events, I apologize for the delayed response. However, it's great to see you in our Fitbit Community.

I'm sorry to hear that your Versa 2 screen became black and won't turn on. By the way, thank you for troubleshooting this issue before contacting our forums.

In order to avoid providing the same information, I would like to know how the factory reset was performed. Was it performed as listed below?

  1. On the device, hold all three buttons for about 10 to 12 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears, quickly release the bottom right button, continuing to hold down the left and top right buttons (releasing the bottom right button as soon as the logo disappears is time sensitive).
  3. When the device vibrates, release all buttons.
  4. Wait for approximately 1-2 minutes while the device clears all data. Eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays Fitbit.com/setup.
  5. Finally, set up your watch from scratch and see if the display works properly.

Keep me posted on the outcome.

Hi there

Yes, I followed those exact steps. It's like the screen will lightly turn on (still black but a semi lighter version of it) and it wont do anything. I'll hear my alarm going off and I'll try to tap on it as I normally would do, and it has no functionality and wont turn off.

The Versa 2 only has one button.  That sounds like the reset procedure for the Versa 1.
