Fitbit Versa 2 not automatically syncing

My Fitbit Versa 2 will only sync when I open the app, but I have it set to "sync all day," have the background app refresh on, Bluetooth always on, and the location set to "always." As far as I can tell there is no update for the app or my iPhone. Please help!

Same problem with my wife's Versa 2 with Android. Very frustrating.

I am having the same problem.  I have IOS12 on my iPhone 6 plus, have restarted both bluetooth and my phone.  Still no luck
