Fitbit Versa 2 not tracking sleep

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I have my Fitbit Versa 2 a few weeks and about once a week it stops tracking my sleep at night. Sometimes a reset will fix it for the next night. Sometimes not. It says it can’t get a consistent heart rate while I sleep but my heart rate is being tracked as normal. And I’m wearing it like instructed, well charged and all that. Starting to get annoying.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @aaoobb.

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that your Fitbit Versa 2 stops tracking your sleep about once a week. I totally understand how you are feeling and I am here to help you. Thank you for letting me know that you're wearing the device as instructed and sometimes a restart helps to resolve this issue. There are several factors that can affect the sleep tracking. I recommend checking this information: How does my Fitbit device automatically detect my sleep stages? and How do I improve the accuracy of my heart-rate reading on my Fitbit device?

I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @Lawtink.

Thank you for joining the thread and sharing that you're experiencing the same issue with your Versa 2. I am sorry that you are going through this situation and I am here to help you. I recommend doing the following:

  1. Please confirm that your sleep settings are normal and not sensitive: What is the difference between the normal and sensitive sleep setting in the Fitbit app?
  2. Restart your device by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?
  3. Try sleeping with the watch on your non-dominant hand if you haven't been doing it already.
  4. Confirm that the watch is snug on your wrist.

It is possible to correct the sleep record from your dashboard by following the steps from this help article: How do I edit, or delete sleep logs in the Fitbit app?

You can find more information about tracking sleep here

If the issue persists, please let me know if you receive any message when checking your sleep log?

Keep me posted on the outcome.
