Fitbit Versa Battery/Charging Issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

So, I got my Versa about about 6 months ago and over time the amount of time between each charge gradually decreased from 4 days to maybe around 3 (which with the amount of apps I use and notifications I get sent I wasn’t worried) until about the past month or so when I started averaging maybe 30 hours max per charge. While I still assumed it was the apps and notifications. However, every once in a while (since I got my Fitbit) when I’d plug the charger in it would stay on 0% after being on the charger for a few hours. Usually I could eventually get it to charge. This past month it began doing it(the staying at 0% thing) every charge so, thinking it could potentially be the charger, I ordered a new one. I got the new charger on Sunday (6/9). That worked for about two charges (2 days because charges only work for about 24 hours now if I am lucky) without doing the 0% thing. I charged my Fitbit yesterday morning and the battery lasted about 15 hours and now will not charge past zero percent. It been charging (and displaying as charging) for at least 6 hours with no change in percentage. The Sync feature on my Fitbit app is also displaying my battery at full, while my Versa is displaying it at zero. I have no idea what is happening and have tried looking through other posts about battery issues but haven’t found anyone who seems to be experiencing the same issues. I hope someone can help me (any input is appreciated) because, although I like Fitbit products very much if I had known that after 6 months I’d be having an issue this large I would’ve spent the extra money to get an Apple Watch, if I’m being honest. I like my Versa but I just want a reliable, working watch.

I have had my Versa for nearly 3 years.

i did the latest update and not sure if its a coincidence or not but now i cannot hold charge longer than 4 hours.

i did a factory reset but i am forced to do the upgrade.

Although they will probably deny, I had this issue with a charge 2 just after update and now with my versa. I love my versa and have treated it exactly as the book says. Never let battery run down below 25% only use good quality wall charger not usb port etc. Yesterday I charged for just over 1 hour 30 min s and got 100%. Today at 5pm ish, less than 24 hours and I looked at my fitbit to check time as had a client and had no response just a black screen. I held the side and top right button to get a battery symbol with 0%. I have plugged In the charger and nothing i tapped the screen hoping for a result....nothing. then about 2 mins later the fitbit logo appeared and then changed to my normal watch face. But i have noticed that the %read out whilst charging doesn't show normally when you tap the screen. I just get a very small battery symbol on my watch face wallpaper. All this AFTER the update. And on that note the new app update is pony. I do not like it and can not switch back. This is the 5th fitbit product I have had. And that has gone wrong. Fitbit fail. Good thing is I'm still within my 2 year warranty

I’ve had the same issue. Prior to the update my Versa would hold a charge for about 4 days. Now I’m lucky to get 24 hours from a full charge. I contacted customer service and they attempted to do a battery sync test with no luck. Now my Versa won’t charge/come in at all. And will get extremely hot while on the charger. The representative assured me this has nothing to do with the update, but I believe so. Any rate they are sending me a replacement. Hopefully this one is better.
