Fitbit Versa Factory Reset

My mom's Versa has not been getting notifications when she receives texts or calls. We are thinking she may need to factory reset the watch, but she's worried it will erase all of her information from the Fitbit app on her phone. Is it safe to factory reset it without losing the progress on her account?

@JustinS324 Factory reset will not impact historical data that has already been synced to Fitbit servers. That's where the data is stored. Each time you re-install fitbit up the data is re-downloaded. So, you do not need to worry about that. Factory reset will delete all the data from the device itself though. It means you should sync it first so not to lose the data. But, before performing a factory reset, perhaps there are other troubleshooting steps you could take. What's your mom's phone model and OS?

Can someone guide me step by step, how to factory reset the fitbit versa 2 by using the back button?

@ngkwaiweng Using screen is easier, but here it is:

  1. Hold the back button for about 8 seconds.
  2. When the Fitbit logo disappears:
    1. Release the button briefly (for less than 2 seconds).
    2. Hold the button again until you feel a second, longer vibration, which indicates you initiated the factory reset.

You can set up the watch back to the Fitbit account by following the instructions on this link: How do I set up my Fitbit device?
