Fitbit Versa - Serial port access

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Fitbit Versa appears to be bricked but if I connect it a Windows 10 notebook via it's charging cradle I can see a serial port being added and removed every few seconds.

If I connect to this port via putty I can see that the device is seeming trying to reboot itself over and over.

Presumably I should be able to unbrick it somehow?

Has anyone else seen something like this - and did you manage to resolve?

I have a bricked Versa and came across the same output from cat -v < /dev/ttyACM0.  I can't get a login although I'm not sure what I'd do if I managed to get one because I assume the proprietary os isn't android or linux based but I could be wrong.

Mine bricked when doing an update (yes it was fully charged..)  I can only imagine something bad happened when writing the update image and something got corrupted enough to even do a factory reset.  This problem looks common enough on the forums that I imagine there must be some kind of bug in the process that erases and writes the flash.

Crossing my fingers that someone has the time and interest to figure this out.

i have same problem....versa bricked just for doing a "factory reset". This step is recommended on forums when having issues of connectivity (lost notificactions, bluetooth problems, etc)
this monitor is second one in 20 months (first one 8 months died on dec 2019)
