I just got my Fitbit Versa, and when I plugged it into my computer to charge, it popped up with a message saying "COM3 Connected!" What's this about?

HI @MrBreadWater, awesome to see you again in the Fitbit Community! My apologies for the late response to your question. I saw you are seeing a message saying "COM3 Connected"
I'm wondering if this message was showing on your computer, after your tracker was connected to the charging cable or it was displayed on your Versa screen?
If it was on your computer, I can assume this is how your computer recognized your Versa and there is nothing significtive as is not possible to operate your watch, if is not through your Fitbit app or Web Dashboard.
COM3 refers to the traditional communication port of your computer when there is a USB terminal in use. This may be vary depending of the USB port in use, which in this case is the charging cable of your watch connected to the port 3 of your computer.
Hope this helps and let me know if you have more questions.
