Purchased a Fitbit Strava and having a couple of issues.
1. My versa doesn’t track my walk on maps when I walk around my estate. It’s saying connecting and that’s it. The distance is also inaccurate. It doesn’t link this walk to Strava. I completed a walk in town this morning and it uploaded itself.
2. I completed a home workout and again this didn’t link to Strava either?
pretty disappointed, especially not tracking the walks on the map everywhere. Am I doing something wrong?

It’s meant to say purchased a versa and having trouble connecting to Strava

Hi Danielle
Log in to Strava on the web.
Go to Settings > My Apps.
You should find a link to Fitbit to allow access. Hope this helps.
Regards
Chris

Thanks Chris.
After doing that, I have just learnt that unless my activity uses a GPS signal then it does not record in Strava at all which is really disappointing.
I still have the issue of my fit bit versa not picking up the GPS signal in the estate in which I live. It kind of defeats the purpose of having it when walking or running in my area. Any ideas what this could be?

Is your phone GPS active? The versa does not have an independent GPS. It uses your phone's signal. When I was upgrading from a blaze to a versa, I had to manually log bike rides in Strava but now it synchronises seamlessly. I tell the fitbit that I am riding and ensure it is connected to the phone before commencing. Same with walks. I have not tried relying on autodetect exercise though.
If the GPS signal in your area is weak or non existent, there isn't a fix but to exercise somewhere else unfortunately or manually log workouts. Which yes, is a pain and defeats the purpose.
I have had GPS dropouts where I exercise or live which leads to inaccurate logs and I've not yet seen the versa automatically reconnect to my phone so I keep an eye on the connection between the watch and the phone if in a known coldspot.
