Fitbit Versa clock error and steps undefined, also the app does not work properly

I wonder if these issues are related; they seem to have appeared around the same time.

It started with my steps count and stairs count showing up as Undefined on my clock screen on my Versa. Even though the count in the app itself was fine. Then all of a sudden a red "clock error" message showed up and when I tried syncing with the app a whole different clock was selected and installed even though I never asked for it. When I wanted to select my previous one again it seemed to have disappeared from the gallery. Moreover, if I want to go back from the gallery in the iPhone app to the home screen, the home screen remains blank and I have to restart the app.

Did anyone have similar issues?

Hi, such issues might appear when using Third Party Clock Faces with the new Firmware version .30. In such a case it's the best to install a Clock Face made by Fitbit itself, either "Layers" for the Versa or "Light" for the Versa SE. After the installation, restart your Versa and the problem(s) should be solved.

I have installed the new firmware a while ago and there were no problems until just now.

Hi, that's exactly the problem with these kind of Clock Faces. They seems to work fine, but suddenly behave erroneously. Give a Fitbit Clock Face a try and see if the problems are over.

I don’t see how these can relate to the trouble with the app, though.
