I just bought my Fitbit Versa yesterday and today I went for a 20 mile bike ride. It counted steps while on my bike ride putting me way over what my steps for the day should be. I selected the "bike" option from the exercise app.
Best AnswerUnfortunately it will count steps when you cycle. These are from bumps in the road. The standard way of getting rid of steps you dont want is to log a driving activity over that time, but apparently this also erases the cycling activity so isnt much use (I have yet to try it out myself though). So I guess you just have to live with them annoying thoigh that is. 😐

Best AnswerActually, I am experiencing the opposite.
Until recently I was wearing a Fitbit one on my shorts to measure steps when cycling. Last week I upgrade to a Versa watch on my wrist. When cycling, it now records less than half the steps my One recorded on the same cycling route.
Best AnswerHi Nelly,
The Charge 2 did not count steps whilst cycling. Fitbit have messed Versa up big time!
