I have a problem for you.  My fitbit will not turn on. When I put it on the charger it turns on. It charges fine and is currently at 98%. When I take it off the charger it stays on for 5 minutes then shuts off and I can not turn it back on. A couple of times a red battery came up after I took it off the charger that said 0%. I have done a shutdown and have cleaned the sensors. Does anybody have any ideas because I am about to throw it in the trash? Im sure it is a battery issue and probably cant be fixed but any ideas would be appreciated.

I had problems with syncing and with the screen going blank, but not the battery problem.  If your watch is under warranty, contact the help line.  Do what they want you to do, but if it doesn't work ask for a replacement.  I just got mine.  Be sure that you are using an approved phone or computer.  Check the list.
