I never expect fitbit versa not compatible with Huawei Nova 3i. It works perfectly fine on my iPhone until my recent switch to Huawei. It only sync once when setup was done. Bluetooth connect with Versa but just doesn't sync. My last smart watch for fitbit. Going for Polar smart watch.

@EdTham Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry to hear that your Versa isn't syncing with your Huawei Nova 3i phone. Your phone doesn't show as compatible but you can try going to your phone's bluetooth settings and remove all devices listed there. Restart your phone and restart your device. After this try syncing them. Also, since you are using an Android device, check that your app has the necessary permissions (settings > apps > Fitbit > permissions) and make sure bluetooth and location services (GPS) are on.

Let me know how it goes!

Tried all the methods you mentioned and it doesn't help. All the notification doesn't work after the first sync. I have tried all I need to turn on or off or restart and it is all failed. Tried to setup twice as well. Only works to sync up during setup and it doesn't work anymore even the bluetooth still have versa paired.

No perm solution. However if sometime lucks is on my side. I put the versa into charging station and restart the bluetooth, and sync. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesnt.. Quite frustrating. Notification  is 100% not working.

I have the same issue with Nova 3i.

Need to check compatibility before purchase? (compatibility should be a given in today Tech)

Why solution status shown as solved when the compatibility is still an issue?

Hey EdTham! Not sure if you ever solved this issue, however I have come across a free app in the Android market which solved all my connectivity issues with my Huawei Nova 3i - it is called Sync Fix for Fitbit and Huawei. Follow all the steps under Permanent Fix, try hard restarting your Fitbit  (with holding down the 2 buttons) and restart your phone as well, then go over to the Temporary Fiix tab and just push the Fix now button. All of my issues are now resolved!!! So so happy 😄

Same to me.

Previously I had Nokia phone which runs Androidone.

It worked well.

Now I changed to nova 3i and synced only once.

Fitbit state you have to have a android os 5 or better , nova 3i runs os 8.1 , I would be asking Fitbit to fix the problem or get a refund from Fitbit .

I've tried doing everything suggested but nothing works, will Fitbit add Huawei any time soon???? It's horrible not being able to use the Versa how is meant to be used.

@Kris10_jane Try older Fitbit mobile app build like 2.74.2. Look for an APK file on the internet.

  1. Unpair (remove) Versa from your phone's bluetooth settings
  2. Uninstall the Fitbit mobile app
  3. Reboot your Versa by pressing and holding the left and bottom right buttons until Fitbit logo flashes
  4. Reboot your phone and install an older build of Fitbit mobile app (2.74.2)
  5. Login to Fitbit mobile app and grant all permissions
  6. Make sure Fitbit mobile app is not being optimized in your phone's Android Battery Settings (google it)

Additional tips if sync issues persist: Go to Fitbit mobile app and remove WIFI if you set it up, sync your Versa. I noticed that it causes issues for me. If you have other Bluetooth devices paired with your phone, forget them. One of them might be causing issues. Also, make sure Always Connected, Keep Alive Widget and All day sync are enabled.

Honestly on my Huawei Nova 5 T works great on all Fitbit Versa apps ... You can add Huawei Nova 5 T to the list. 😉

Thank you so much for sharing which phone you have and that it is working fine with your Versa. I am sure this will help other members with the same device.

I'll be around.
