Fitbit Versa not counting Run as steps

Hi! I started to use my Fitbit Versa today. I was so excited about it, I had one hour run which was almost 8000 steps, but this doesn't show on my total step count. I used the Exercise-Run feature just before I started running, and when I completed it I saw the total steps and distance on the screen which was almost 8000 steps and 5.5 km. But when I synced it with my phone it shows only 3500 steps total. It is completely synced and up to date, but doesn't show my run at all. What is the problem? How can I fix it?

Im not sure why your versa has done this, but I suspect it didnt sync completely. Id suggest younrestart yoir Versa several times and then try syncing again and see if all the steps turn up. If not, keep an eye on it and if it happens again, try a factory reset (the settings app on the Versa and scroll down to About). If it happens again after that contact Support (link in my signature ) Let us know how you go

I restarted it 3 times and synced with the phone completely, but the result didn't change. It shows on the screen that I did a run at 6:30 pm, but no other details available about it and unfortunately the steps for that 1 hour run are not registered. It shows only 3000 steps for the all day whereas the run itself only was 8000 steps. Too bad that from the first day it has a problem already.. Disappointing...
