Fitbit Versa not holding charge

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’m having trouble with my Fitbit versa not holding charge. It was good for a few weeks and now it won’t last a night.

I’ve done factory resets, even got the Fitbit company to send me a new power dock, and it’s making no difference. They checked my Fitbit online through chat and said there was no faults with the watch. I don’t know what else to do but I’ve only had it about a month. Disappointed.

@Amy91 I am surprised. You will need to escalate this. You can attempt one more factory reset (restoring tracker to factory defaults) and make sure you're not running any 3rd party clockfaces. If it drains rapidly, you will need a replacement. Your watch should be under warranty.

Why are you surprised? The more I read about this watch the more I see A LOT of people have had issues with this watch. I’ve done all of that several times now.

@Amy91 I am surprised as this seems to be hardware issue. The only thing I can advise is to contact Support again.

Thanks for posting this! I'm having a similar issue. I got my Versa for my birthday in June. It used to hold a charge through the entire day and overnight so that I can monitor my sleep. It's been slowly dying on me. It now barely holds a charge for 8 hours. I leave it on the charger until right before I leave for work (around 9a) and it will be completely dead by 5p. Super disappointing and extremely frustrating. Will keep an eye out for a response and solution.

@jamaples Thank you for joining us in this thread and our Fitbit Community! Let me go ahead and help you with the battery drain issue that your Versa is experiencing. As my friend @Marrrmaduke mentioned above, make sure that you are not using 3rd party clockfaces and there are not many alarms.

On an aside note, try cleaning the contacts of your charger and tracker with a cotton swab in order to remove any dust. After this, monitor your Versa and let us know if the issue get fixed.

No problem @Marrrmaduke! I thank you for your constant help and contribution!

See you guys around! Smiley Happy
