Fitbit Versa not responding

Has anyone had a prob with the Versa becoming buggy? I’ve had mine since December and use it at the gym and pool 4-5 times a week. Suddenly the buttons stopped responding fully and was barely able to scroll or tap the touchscreen without it overshooting or mis-selecting. I tried restart a few times via shutdown in app. Then fully charging to show 100%, I even gave up and chose factory reset but it wouldn’t sync well and when it finally did, it took very long on updating and then the screen crashed completely with static lines and then dead.. nothing no matter what, docking to charger, pressing left button a short while... I’m fairly upset as I’ve been reliant on it for sleep tracking (though it’s not all accurate sometimes stating my wakeful moments as light sleep) and my swimming (loses count on Lengths often).. but I’m OCD and like my stats / numbers.. consistency... so now I’m pretty stressed as the sudden loss of tracking is more than off putting

Hi @Pangfalcon  that is not good that your Versa has quit working. I will flag your post for a moderators attention as it sounds like you need more help than I can give.

Have had mine since December 2018, it's Feb 2019 and suddenly it won't shut off, won't synch, can't get a menu on the screen either. Just endless multi lingual scroll, instructing to install fit bit app. The app has been there since day one. Tried uninstalling, reinstalling, tried turning Bluetooth off and on and it still won't synch, watch won't shut down. Power button unresponsive as well. No water involved!

Hey there guys @Flasuncoast @Pangfalcon, welcome to the Fitbit Community Forums! 🙂

@Pangfalcon I'm sorry to hear that you're having problems with your Fitbit Versa not responding. Thanks a lot for all that you've tried to get it to work.

I've escalated your case to our Support Team for them to help you out with this. Please, keep an eye on your inbox for more instructions and if you need more help, feel free to let me know!

@Flasuncoast, I'm sorry to hear that your Versa won't shut off. Now, since the buttons seem not to be reponding, I can recommend removing your Versa from the connected Bluetooth devices and then, adding it back as a new device.

For this, go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone. On your connected devices, look for your tracker. Tap on it, then choose the option that says "Forget this device". Then, proceed to set it up as a new device.

For this, go to the Account section at the top right corner on the Fitbit app and select the option that says "Set up a new device". Follow the on-screen instructions and once you're done, your tracker should be syncing without a problem.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help!

Thanks for getting back @Flasuncoast!

I'm sorry to hear that my suggestions didn't work but thanks a lot for trying. Now, when you tried to set up your tracker as a new device, what happened? Didn't it respond at all to the setup process or were you able to set it up again as a new device but will remain on?

I'll be looking forward for your reply!

My Versa will not turn on. I keep getting a scrolling list of different
languages. Over and over below the Fitbit logo.
