Fitbit Versa screen corrupted

Afternoon guys, i have just switched back to my Fitbit Versa after using my Apple watch s1 for a number of months, i have noticed that there are now orange screen burn lines going vertical up either side of the screen. This was the reason i initially stopped using it but back then it was only the bottom right corner and maybe 1/3 of the way up the same side, easy enough to ignore.

This screen degradation isn't caused by the device being in use either, it has been sat unused and powered off for around 6 months. could it be that this is caused by battery swelling?

Another issue i noticed too, my green HR monitor light no longer works and i only have a faintly glowing red light. A factory reset was done to try and fix this issue but didn't have any effect.

How common is this issue? i have seen numerous complaints about this and just to clarify, a factory reset will not do anything as it's hardware related(Please stop recommending this as it makes you look to be passing the blame, if you had seen this fault, which i'm sure that most of you have... then you would know that it's impossible to be caused by software as the screen is visually damaged). You can actually see where the pixels are darkened while it's turned off.
I'm considering getting a Fitbit Sense as i like the design but if this same issue is going to happen on that then i would rather spend my money on another apple watch series 6 and just deal with the annoying 1 day battery life.

I am having the same issues with the screen corruption. I have done several resets and still continuing. It makes it difficult to see stats when the corruption marks are getting wider.

Hi I have the same problem. But can we have more info here rather than wait for customers  help which may  never arrive?

Does fitbit cover the problem replacing it?

Thanks

Hi, welcome to the Community forums, @Mau2000

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for confirming that you're having the same inconvenience with your watch.

Before considering other options, could you please confirm if you already tried the restart procedure as described in this article? This has been useful for other users experiencing something similar.

I'll be around.

I know this post is years old but I stumbled on it while looking for an answer to the same question. I was cleaning out a box old gadgets and charges and I had two Versa 2 watches in there that haven't been used in a couple of years. One had issues with the screen not working back then and the other one was the replacement. I plugged them both in to see which one was the bad watch and low and behold, they BOTH have the orange glow edges (which is extra funny to me since the bad one won't light up otherwise.) So I'm two for two on this issue.
