Fitbit Versa screen goes unresponsive very often

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I’ve had my Fitbit little over two months. A couple of days ago the screen would be unresponsive but it would always work again.

today it’s just gone haywire - pressing buttons that I haven’t pressed, going to all different screens, being unresponsive...

I’m not in the UK where I bought it and won’t be for another 3 months so I can’t take it back to the store,

anyone else had had this problem and knows how to fix it? Please, I live by my Fitbit!

Have you tried restarting it? Restart your tracker if that doesnt fix it try a factory reset. If that doesnt fix it you will need to contact Support (link in my signature)

FACTORY RESET USING BUTTONS
On the watch, hold all three buttons for about twelve seconds. This triggers the 2-button hardware reboot after about eight seconds.
- When the Fitbit logo appears, then disappears, release the bottom right button, then continue holding the left and top right buttons until you feel a strong vibration. This indicates the factory reset was initiated.
- This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the Fitbit logo appears and the device boots and displays go to Fitbit.com/setup.
- If you fail to release the bottom right button in time, or otherwise don't follow the procedure precisely, the Fitbit logo reappears quickly and boots without factory reset.

If the device turns on, please go back to the Fitbit app and setup your device back to your account with these steps. Make sure your watch is plugged into a wall plug or a computer, next to the router and that there are no other trackers or devices with Bluetooth on nearby when setting up.  Please log into your account, go to account on the upper right corner, there look for "setup a device" and tap on it. Follow the instructions on the screen and let the watch charge for 2 hours.

@daisydais Welcome to our Fitbit Community! I'm sorry to hear that your Fitbit Versa's display is not turning on, even though you have pressed all the buttons.

I'd like to follow up on this case and would like to know if the issue persists or if your Versa got back to life after following the great troubleshooting steps that shared my friend @NellyG.

Looking forward to your response! Smiley Happy

Hey,

they display is on it just randomly starts pressing things things that I haven’t pressed and goes a bit crazy. I will try resetting it today - see if that works.

I’ve restarted the tracker - that didn’t work.

Ive tried several times to do the factory reset - exactly as per your instructions but it won’t complete the factory reset. (Getting as far as the strong vibrate, I release the bottom right button, still holding the other two and the logo doesn’t reappear. Have held for long periods of time. When I let go the Fitbit turns back on, now not telling the right time)

Any suggestions as to why the factory reset won’t work?

Also I’ve seen that you moderated my title for clarity - just to be clear the screen DOES turn on but it’s glitching - starts pressing all the buttons when I’m not doing anything. Going a bit haywire.

Thank you
