I checked my steps 6 hours ago and I had 18,066. I just checked again an hour ago and it went backwards to 16,451. Now, I just watched as my Fitbit app synced and went from 16,047 to 15,841. Why are my steps going backwards? I’ve restarted my Fitbit 4 times now and nothing has changed.

@Carlymth, welcome to our Fitbit Community and thank you for joining us @rphdarla. I'm happy to assist you with your Versa watches since the steps are going backwards. I appreciate the time spent trying the restart process before contacting our forums.
I would like you to try a factory reset. to do so on your devices, open the Settings app > About > Factory Reset or Clear User Data. Sync your devices before this in order to avoid losing current data. After this, monitor your watches and see if the steps are being tracked properly again.
Keep me posted on the outcome! 😀
Best AnswerFirst my Versa screen wouldn’t move off the home screen all day I had to reboot three times!! The next day my step count kept going backwards!! I looked at 6 pm and my steps were 7500 then after an hour on the treadmill my steps went to 5300! Anyone else having issues with this annoying problem!! Apple here I come!
