All, does anyone know exactly what I have to do , to get strava and my Versa to sync . I have the strava app and was hoping that any runs I log on the watch would upload to strava. All I can do on strava at the moment (on the watch) is view past runs. Any help would be great thanks

I could throw this watch off a wall. Three times I have removed and resynced so my Versa and strava are conpatible and third parties. Not having any luck . My gps is switched on but nothing happening. Whole point in me getting the watch was so I didn't have to take my phone on runs with me. Must be something wrong with the watch Unless I have done something wrong

Thanks for the update @Fraser1903 and @Peter_the_SBAM for stopping by.
As mentioned by our friend, the Versa doesn't have built in GPS. For more information about this, take a look at the Does my Fitbit device have GPS? article.
About the Strava connection, is your Versa syncing properly with your Fitbit account? If it is, the issue might be directly with Strava, have you get in touch with their support team? If you haven't, I recommend doing it.
Keep me posted.

I'm having a similar problem. I have a Fitbit surge and it's connected to Strava fine. However, the Versa I just got says "unauthorized" in the Strava app on Fitbit. When I click authorize via Facebook, it won't allow me to log in. The page just refreshes with blank username and password boxes.
When I go to the Fitbit Dashboard online, it says that Strava and Fitbit are connected. Again, no trouble syncing with my old Surge, even now. Just the Versa won't sync or add the run I did with it today.

Hi there,
I've also got problems with Strava not syncing to my Versa. I've got rides, recorded on Strava from 3/29/18 to 05/04/18, showing on my Versa. But none of the rides after that are being synced.
I've read, and tried , all the previous comments and suggestions on this board, but can't get it to work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I’ve had the same issues since I got my Versa. I have removed and reinstalled the Strava app on my watch and reauthorized. It has only ever synced one run. It appears Strava app on my phone is syncing with the Fitbit app on my phone, so the data on my phone is accurate. Just not appearing on my Versa in the Strava app or on the main data section that I exercised today.

Really?? But when you record a run in the versa it says if you want gps on or not, and it said before I bought it that it has gps and has capability to sync with strava! Ill be most frustrated if it doesn't sync, very misleading if so!

Is fitbit planning or working on an update to fix the versa 2 syncing issue or should I return and buy a different brand of fitness watch?

I’m the same, I record my walks and runs with the exercise app on Fitbit and it does not sync to Strava. When I go to Strava app I connect device and then when I check again it’s not connected. My exercise syncs on Fitbit app but not with Strava. I don’t know why. Would love a solution!

I have of course the same issue.
FITBIT:
My Fitbit Versa syncs with my Fitbit App.
In Fitbit - Versa - Apps - Strava - it has permissions/ Strava installed to allow Strava to work with the Versa
STRAVA:
Settings - FITBIT - 'your fitbit and strava accounts are connected'
Before I go for a run/ ride/ hike - I turn on Strava (Record), Strava will record
But my fitbit NEVER uploads data to my activity (e.g. HR). I only get what strava gets from my phone (Distance, time).
On the FITBIT forums, it says to only run 1 application, so I run Strava, as this is where i want my data stored.
My Fitbit app - is allowed to access my location 24/7 (background) as my Strava, but for some reason, Fitbit will never work with Strava.
Yet there is still no solution?! Please help fix this - I have had my Versa for 2 years and it is worthless if it can't sync with apps like Strava.

I was having this issue, and then I went to https://strava.fitbit.com/ on my laptop after logging into Fitbit and Strava on separate tabs. It asked me for a series of permissions I had not yet seen, and now it seems to be syncing. Fingers crossed!

You need to record the run on Fitbit rather than Strava - it will then sync all your heart rate data to Strava along with all the other details

None of the smart features work. I gave up on that weeks ago. Id be happy if this thing would track distance, but no on that also. RECALL THE VERSA 2.

Hey, I was getting annoyed with the same thing, took me about a week to notice, when you click on the exercise, let's say click "run' before you press play, top left corner of your watch it will say 'connecting" you have to wait until it says "connect" before pressing play on your run, then off your go, this is the watch connecting to your phone gps signal, I have had no problem with it syncing to my strava since noticing this
