Hello everyone,

MY fitbit versa won't auto detect my workouts even though I have it set up to do so.
Each setting walking, running, outdoor bike, elliptical, sport, aerobic workout and swimming are all set up and I went for a half a mile walk and my versa never auto detected that I was on a walk.

I'm using a Samsung galaxy s8

Hello there @oxstardust421xo, good to see you are visiting the Fitbit Community! I'm sorry for the late response and  I'm wondering how it goes this issue with smarttrack? I was reading your Versa is not recognizing your exercise.

Some tips that might help you to improve the autodetection is tighten the band just enough so it isn't slipping around on your wrist. Also move the band to a slightly different position on your arm—a little higher or a little lower.

Keep in mind sometimes, motions such as placing your arms on the bar of a treadmill, or pushing a stroller while you walk, may interrupt SmartTrack. Additionally, stopping in the middle of an exercise may interrupt the activity tracking as well.

If your activities aren't being recognized, lowering the time auto-exercise recognition setting to 10 minutes may help ensure they record properly.

If the issue continue, try to perform a restart on your Versa. For more help this article will guide your through: How do I restart my Fitbit device?.

Hope this helps to get you back on track.
