Fitbit Versa won't sync to Samsung Galaxy J

I bought a Versa at the weekend and when I first set it up it worked fine. Since then it has received notifications very rarely - yes it's in range, settings as per instructions etc. - and only seems to sync sporadically. Today it simply won't sync at all. I've been through this  My Tracker isn't receiving notifications (Android App) more times than I want to think about. I want a straight answer - should I just take it back? I don't know if the watch is faulty or the technology simply isn't up to scratch. I might have to smash the thing with a hammer if it doesn't work properly soon. It was expensive so I expected more. Please don't suggest I restart it or switch my phone off and on again...

If your phone is a J (rather than a J3 etc) then it should work and should be fully compatible. Have you tried contacting Support? I know they will have you run through restarting etc again, but they might be your best avenue as nothing has fixed the problem so far.

Also - if the Samsung J3 is not listed as a compatible device is it likely to become one?
