My Fitbit shows 8,000 steps, after syncing the app shows 5,000.... help!

I am glad to assist you with your concern about the number of your steps showing on your Fitbit Versa and the app after syncing. In order to better investigate, please confirm if you manually logged any exercise? Manually logged activities override your device's data and you can see a decrease in your stats after logging an activity, which can occur if what your device recorded was more than what you logged.
