Fitbit app problem

I had a Fitbit charge 2 which worked for a while then suddenly lost some functions. Sleep monitor and step monitor disappeared. Deleted and reload app several times no success. Definitely an app problem. Decided to try a Versa but have just set up and still the same problem with the app. Some functionality isn’t there . Won’t let me register as a new user as my email address is already recognised. 

Really fed up now and about to give up. Help please.

@RichardG1313 you do not need to create a new account. Just login with the old one's credentials and add Versa there. Also, by sleep monitoring and step count, do you mean the tiles are not being displayed in the Fitbit mobile app? Just tap and hold on any tile to enter the edit mode, then use the + button to add missing tiles.

I logged in to existing account and added Versa but the functions that were missing from the Charge 2 were still missing.

yes I entered the edit mode but they are not there to add.

i have now reregistered with a new email address(although would rather have used the old one) and registered as a new account/ user and it’s worked fine , all the missing functions are there now. So... it has been an app problem? I don’t understand it at all.
