Fitbit buttons not working

Hello,

I work outdoors all day everyday for my job, my fitbit often gets dirty but I ensure to always clean it out. Recently I have found that my fitbit buttons no longer work. I can tap the screen and it will show me the clock face, then I can get to my apps but if I open one I will not be able to get back to my watch face for a while. I have tried using canned air to clean out behind the buttons with no avail. I am looking for anyone else that has had the same/similar issues and how the resolved it.

Thank You

Welcome on board @Tylery, it's nice to see a new member around!

I appreciate your participation in the Forums and sharing that the buttons on your Fitbit Versa are not working. Thank you for taking care of your device and cleaning it. I appreciate the information that you've tried using canned air already to resolve the issue. I recommend trying to restart your device by following the steps from this help article: How do I restart my Fitbit device?

If you're unable to restart the device, I recommend doing a factory reset. Please note that you'll need to reinstall any apps on your device after the reset, and if you couldn’t sync your device, then any data on the Fitbit device will be lost. In order to do the factory reset, please follow these steps: On your device, open the Settings app > About > Factory Reset or Clear User Data. This process may take several seconds, and eventually, the static logo appears and the device boots and shows Fitbit.com/setup.

Once the Fitbit.com/setup screen appears, open the Bluetooth settings on your phone and unpair the watch from the list. Then, please set up the watch back to your account with the instructions on this link: How do I set up my Fitbit device?

Keep me posted on the outcome!
