Hi everyone , I did my first run today with versa 2 gps on and phone with me. ( I wanted to track my run and see the map at the end of it ). But after I finished all I seemed to get was a tiny line from where I finished to where I started. I ran 6k but it didn’t show on the dashboard. Also I’ve tried to upload a picture this post to explain but I can’t seem to find anywhere where it says upload a photo and it won’t let me copy and paste to this comments section.

any help appreciated.

james 🙂

First off, to include an image in a post click on the "Camera" icon just above the text area. Then you can drag-and-drop and image or select an image previously posted by clicking on "Saved Photos" instead.

I personally don't need an image to understand the issue as I've personally seen it before with my Versa 2.

To test your assisted-GPS without having to run nearly four miles - sorry six kilometers - take a short assisted-GPS walk while keeping an eye on the the Versa 2, first making sure the "connecting..." message at the top changes to "connected" and after starting the walk making sure the "connecting..." message doesn't come back. Start out with the mobile app in the foreground, then bring up another app which will place the FitBit app in the background, then bring the FitBit app back to the foreground and lock the phone's screen waiting approximately 30 seconds between changes.

There was an issue with assisted-GPS with the iOS app (don't know if it affected Android users) a few releases ago where if the iOS app was placed in the background or if the phone's screen was locked the GPS connection to the device dropped within 10 seconds, only coming back if the phone's screen was unlocked and the app brought to the foreground for five seconds. I believe it was fixed at release 3.25.

Good luck and welcome to the boards.

Thanks for the help! Regarding adding an image I only have 5 icons above when writing in the text box. A back icon / two fonts / link and bullet point icons. No camera or anything else. I’ll look into it though.

ill have a try with the gps connection with the app and see if it’s staying connected. Many thanks for the help!
