Fitbit settings in App

I cannot find any documentation on the app settings. Specifically the advantages to keeping the following things on:

All-Day Sync:

If I turn this off, it will only sync when I open the app, but that seems to be the only time I actually need to it so sync, so why keep it on?

Quick View:

What does this do? what happens if I turn it off.

Always Connected:

It seems that turning this off might be a big save for the battery, but what is the downside? it feels like it would need to be on to get notifications, but I did have it off and still got the notifications.

Keep-Alive Widget:

Again, what does this do? what happens if I turn it off.

Thanks! I suspect I am not the only person who is confused, and wonders why it is not more clear in the documentation.

Hi lfm710.

All Day Sync.  Each time you open the Fitbit app, Versa syncs automatically when it's nearby. Versa also syncs with the app periodically if All-Day Sync is on.  I do not have this turned on.

Quick View.  The screens on all Fitbits dim when not in use to preserve battery.  To wake up the screen, turn your wrist towards you.  Quick View needs to be enabled for this feature to work.

If enabled, "Always Connected" improves reliability of device syncing, notifications, and related bluetooth connectivity.  I personally have this turned off.  Fortunately I have not had a need to have this on.

"Keep-Alive Widget" is a persistent notification to improve communication for tracker apps, notifications, and background syncing.  I also have this one turned off.
