Fitbit to work on compability issues with Huawei

We bought our Fitbit Versa's 6 months ago now and love them. They have been brilliant.

This month our phone contracts ended and we've upgraded and got the new Huawei P20 and P20 lite, maybe we were silly not to see if Fitbit was compatible with Huawei but why should we? Huawei isn't a small company and has been producing phones for some time now.

It would be great to see Fitbit and Huawei work together to solve this problem.

There seems to be a specific issue with the Huawei "lite" phones that's down to the way Huawei have implemented bluetooth and which cannot be resolved by fitbit.

They say:

"Due to Bluetooth issues that prevent Huawei Lite models, including P8, P9, and P20 Lite, from syncing with some devices, like Fitbit devices, our products are not compatible with these mobile phones."

Although the P20 is not on the list of supported devices at www.fitbit.com/devices there are posts from people that have had success with using this phone (although others have reported problems). It's worth trying setting up the P20 a couple of times in the hope you may be one of the lucky ones.
