Fitbit versa not getting text notifications

Everything is on and connected. I have the iPhone8 plus and I just cannot get my text notifications. I've gone on my phone turned and watch and turned everything on and off. Still nothing. My espn and other notifications are working. Someone help please.

With iPhones you need to have 'Show in History' enabled in the phones settings I believe. Have you got this turned on?

This is a bit of a "me too" here--in the iOS app for Fitbit, Notifications>App Notifications, there is a slider switch for Text Messages. There's also a link for App Notifications, but Apple Messages is not an option.

 

So I get buzzed for WhatsApp messages just fine. But I don't get a buzz when someone sends me a text in Apple Messages.

 

Would be nice if there were a way to fix this. Just got my Versa, and I think it's great otherwise--but the $25 fitness tracker I got on Amazon alerts me to text messages just fine.

Just wanted to update....I am now getting Apple Messages alerts....not sure how I fixed it!
