Fitbit versa won’t receive notifications since update

I have an iPhone 8plus and ever since the Fitbit software update I have not been able to receive any notifications from my phone on my Fitbit versa. I have tried factory resetting the watch, deleting app, removing device from Bluetooth settings and it now says it synced but still won’t get notifications.
