I'm referring to when the Versa would pick up thousands or even tens of thousands of unwarranted steps when sitting on the charger or sometimes on just on its own, that was not caused by external vibration sources. The sticky thread of many pages, discussing this problem was locked a few months ago. Fitbit had promised a fix for several months without delivering. Is this problem now conclusively fixed, if so how?

@geepondy Welcome! Thanks for being part of our Community! Thank you for your inquiry. This issue was fixed with Fitbit OS 2.2. Now we have Fitbit OS 3 for the Versa and I haven't heard about this issue anymore.
Let me know how it goes!

Thank you for the response. At the time there was much talk and speculation about the root cause of the issue. Could Fitbit divulge the root cause of the issue rather than the usual "general bug fixes" response?
